Trent Boult, a Mumbai Indians fast bowler, praised MI bowling coach Lasith Malinga for his involvement and passion. According to Boult, Malinga takes huge pride when any of his bowling plans click on the field. He stated that they had a legend like Malinga in the dugout to give confidence to the players and to sharpen the bowling strategies.

Having gotten over their initial flutters, Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians are now back in the groove and have scored their fourth comfortable victory in a row as they embark on their mid-season carnage.

As expected, the bowlers rose to the occasion once again as they tied down Sunrisers Hyderabad for a measly 143—this time easily chased down by MI batters with more than four overs to spare.

Trent Boult appreciates how Malinga has this tinge of pride when their strategizing goes well during matches. Boult feels that it’s the most satisfying feeling ever to have all the talks and then watch those tactics work out on the field.

“Malinga is a great guy and a formidable bowler for the MI franchise as well as globally. No one reads the game the way he does, with the unusual action and the skillset he has, so he’s really proud when the plans work for us. Discussion we speak prior to the game, like when we start walking the talk, is probably the most satisfying thing to do,” said Boult in the post-match.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, who made a half-century against Chennai Super Kings, continued his scoring spree. His ability to hit the ball perfectly in such a difficult pitch condition was observed as MI took over through the chase.

Suryakumar Yadav finished the game with the style that kept misery going for SRH as Mumbai sailed through another victory. MI now moved to third on the points table following this fourth straight victory, and its Net Run Rate improved to 0.673.
