Mumbai Indians had a horrible 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Mumbai based franchise finished last on the points table. Mumbai tried several team combinations but nothing went right for them. Their main players Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard couldn’t fire with the bat.

Kieron Pollard had a poor performance with the bat in IPL 2022. Pollard scored just 144 runs in 11 innings in IPL 2022. He has a poor average of 14.4 and a pathetic strike rate of 107 in IPL 2022. Pollard couldn’t finish the matches for Mumbai Indians like he used to do in past.

The West Indian all-rounder failed to live up to the expectations he has set in IPL. Eventually, he was dropped from MI playing XI in the mid-season. This caught the attention of lots of cricket fans. Aakash Chopra gave Mumbai the suggestion of moving away from Pollard.

Kieron Pollard wasn’t pleased with it and he posted a tweet aimed at Aakash Chopra. Pollard in his tweet wrote, “Hope the fan base and followers increased @cricketaakash… keep it flowing .. #t20.!!”. However, he deleted this tweet after a few hours.

“He has not been scoring runs” – Aakash Chopra criticised Kieron Pollard

Recently while doing an analysis on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra criticised Kieron Pollard for failing badly in IPL 2022. He advised Mumbai Indians to move on from Pollard and give chances to Dewald Brevis. Aakash Chopra also said that we have seen the last of Pollard in the cash-rich league.

Aakash Chopra in his YouTube video said, “I think we have seen the last of Kieron Pollard. INR 6 crores will be released if they don’t retain him. Kieron Pollard should go and Dewald Brevis should come in. How many chances would you give to Pollard? He has just not been scoring runs.”
