Prithvi Shaw scored his maiden T20 century against Assam in the league stage match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 at Saurashtra Cricket Stadium on October 14. He was in sublime touch against the hapless Assam bowling lineup. Thanks to a brilliant effort by Mumbai, they trashed Assam by 61 runs.
The explosive opener hit 134 off 61 balls including 13 fours and 9 sixes. Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, and Sarfaraz Khan also smashed quickfire runs to help Mumbai post a mammoth total of 230/3.

Shaw started the innings with aggressive intent putting the Assam bowlers under pressure. He smashed fifty off 19 balls and looked in great touch. After reaching half-century, the opener showed his class showing no mercy to Assam bowlers completing century off 46 balls.
It was a remarkable performance by Shaw who displayed attacking intent right from the word go and did not allow the Assam bowlers to settle. He scored with a strike rate of 219.67.
Shaw eventually got out for a superb 134 off 61 balls and kept Assam bowlers under immense pressure with his aggressive batting. Shaw scored a quickfire unbeaten half-century against Mizoram in their opening match helping Mumbai win the match by 9 wickets.

Prithvi Shaw-led Mumbai continue their domination in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
Mumbai has been the team to beat in this year’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. They defeated Mizoram by nine wickets and then cruised past Assam by 61 runs to register their 2nd win in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament.
Prithvi Shaw provided entertainment with his explosive batting and started blasted away Assam bowlers right from the word go.
He would be looking to make a comeback into the national squad after impressive performances in the ODI series against New Zealand A. Shaw has been in sensational form and would be looking to show domination for Mumbai during Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
