In reaction to widespread reports hinting at his relocation to the UK, Sarfaraz refuted the rumours, affirming that he cannot entertain the idea of leaving Pakistan. Ex-Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed strongly denied recent speculations about him moving to the United Kingdom, emphasizing his steadfast dedication to Pakistan.

Addressing reports hinting at his relocation, Sarfaraz dismissed the rumours, stating that the thought of leaving Pakistan is not even conceivable for him. He urged the media to verify information before publishing such unfounded news.

“I can’t even think of leaving Pakistan. Confirm before running such fabricated news,” Sarfaraz Ahmed emphasised during the interview. Sad to see such news,” Sarfaraz said in an interview with Samaa Digital.

The rumours intensified due to apprehensions about Sarfaraz’s continued role in the national team, particularly after lacklustre performances, notably in a Test match against Australia, where he managed only seven runs. Following this, Mohammad Rizwan replaced him for the remaining two Test matches on the Australia tour. Despite making a comeback to the Test side in December 2022 after an almost four-year absence, Sarfaraz encountered scrutiny.

During the interview, the cricketer emphasized the importance of media fact-checking before publication, expressing disappointment at the dissemination of baseless information. Additionally, Quetta Gladiators manager Azam Khan rejected the migration reports, disclosing that Sarfaraz had visited the UK with his family to see his son, who is currently studying there.

“Sarfaraz had gone to see his son, who is studying in England, with his family,” clarified Azam Khan.

Sarfaraz conveyed his intention to remain a part of the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL)

The 36-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman, who led Pakistan to triumph in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, is concentrating on his cricketing future. Despite uncertainties, Sarfaraz has expressed his intention to continue playing for the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

As the upcoming PSL season approaches, fans eagerly await Sarfaraz’s return to the Quetta Gladiators, with hopes of securing the title for the first time since their victory in 2019. Sarfaraz’s steadfast commitment to the sport and his dedication to representing Pakistan dispel any notions of an imminent move to the UK.
