Pakistan cricketer Imam-ul-Haq has revealed that he is a huge fan of veteran batter Rohit Sharma. The Indian skipper has been one of the best batters across formats in world cricket. His flamboyant batting style has earned him fans from all over the world. Rohit Sharma has numerous records to his name, including the highest score of 264* in One-day Internationals.

Speaking to Samaa News on Wednesday, Imam-ul-Haq was all praise for Rohit Sharma. He complimented the Team India cricketer and added that the god has blessed Rohit with more talent than Virat Kohli. He also expressed that Rohit Sharma has a lot of time when he bats. Recalling a match that he played against India, Imam-ul-Haq said,

“I feel the talent that God has given Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli probably doesn’t have. I have seen both of them play, but it really feels like a replay is going on the way Rohit Sharma plays. He has a lot of time and I realized the true meaning of ‘time’ when I was fielding at point.”

Rohit Sharma has a great record against Pakistan in white-ball cricket. In 24 matches, he has scored 790 runs at an average of 41.57 and a strike rate of 91.22. His tally includes two centuries and six half-centuries against the arch-rivals. Further speaking about Rohit Sharma, Imam-ul-Haq stated that the Indian cricketer is a game changer. He added that he wishes to be as consistent as the Indian skipper. Imam said,

“He is the kind of player who can change the game in a matter of two seconds. Once he is set, he hits at will. I wish to give performances like him.”

India will play Pakistan in the Asia Cup and also in the T20 World Cup later this year. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will be definitely one of the players to watch out for during the clash of the arch-rivals.
