“I Hope I Meet The Requirements For An Aadhar Card Now”- David Warner

Australian cricketer David Warner, who plays for Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2024, recently joked about being eligible for an Aadhar card after participating in an advertisement shoot with renowned Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli.

Warner has garnered a large fan following in India, particularly in Hyderabad and other parts of South India. He frequently shares face swap videos on Instagram, often using templates from popular Indian movies like “Pushpa,” to entertain his Indian fans.

David Warner collaborated with SS Rajamouli for an advertisement, portraying a character from the film Baahubali. The left-handed batsman posted several photos from the shoot on his official Instagram account, expressing appreciation for the opportunity and the support from his Indian fans.

“Playing in India has introduced me to many things but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the films. Pushpa, Baahubali, RRR…I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched these legendary films (and even edited myself in those 😂).”

“So getting the chance to pay homage to my favorite films was an absolute blast. Thank you legend @ssrajamouli & @cred_club for making this happen 🙏 Hope I’m eligible to get an aadhar card now 😂😂.”

David Warner’s performance for DC in IPL 2024 has been inconsistent thus far

David Warner has struggled to maintain consistent performance for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. Across six games, he has only managed to score 166 runs at an average of 27, with just one half-century.

Despite getting starts in a couple of matches, the 37-year-old has been unable to capitalize on them. This inconsistency at the top has impacted DC’s overall performance, leaving them in ninth place on the points table with only two wins from six games.

Next, DC will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) on April 17 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
