Former India Cricketer Suresh Raina was arguably one of India’s finest T20 Batsmen. During his celebrated International career, he represented India in 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is scoring 5615 ODI and 1604 T20I runs. He announced his retirement from International cricket along with MS Dhoni on August 15’s evening last year.

Raina is the backbone of Chennai Super Kings success in the Indian PremierLeague.  He has been a part of the IPL since its inception in 2008 and is fondly called as Mr. IPL by the fans. The swashbuckling middle order batsman has featured in 200 IPL matches for the CSK franchise and has scored 5491 runs averaging 33.08.

He recently published a memoir titled “Believe: What Life and Cricket Taught Me” and is busy promoting his book through the virtual medium.

Recently in an Instagram live session, Raina spoke about his love for Chennai. He also revealed his probable choices for a biopic on his life. He said he wants someone who will understand his connection with Chennai, preferably from the south.

“I really want someone who can take that emotion forward because playing for the country or CSK is not easy. I want someone from the South who can really do it. So they can understand how much Chennai and Chennai Super Kings mean to me. I have two-three names in my mind, ” Raina said during a live session

When pressed to reveal his choices, he said he wants Suriya or Dulquer Salmaan to star in his biopic.

“I’d say Suriya. I am sure he can act. And Dulquer Salmaan is really good at acting,” stated Chennai’s ‘Chinna Thala’.

Suresh Raina will soon be seen wearing the Yellow Jersey in the Indian Premier League. The second leg of the tournament is all set to begin from September 19.
