India is preparing to face the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 schedule, which began on February 19 and it aims to capture the second ICC trophy in a year. This tournament is a landmark event as Pakistan will be hosting any ICC event after the 1996 edition of the ODI World Cup. Still, because of security issues, the Indian team will not go to Pakistan, and all the matches will be in Dubai, while the rest of the event will be held in Pakistan.

The tournament will be in the hybrid format, and India’s games will be held in Dubai. This special setting is expected to protect the Indian team as well as have them qualify to compete in the prestigious event. Cricket watchers all over the world can look forward to a thrilling Champions Trophy 2025.

Rohit Sharma to Visit Pakistan for ICC Champions Trophy

Although India has no games scheduled in Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma may have the opportunity to travel there if he attends a pre-Champions Trophy event. Normally, after the toss, the captains take photographs with the trophy and then there is a press conference, which may be conducted in Pakistan as the official host.

Pakistan’s tour will be special for India also, as Rohit Sharma might go to Pakistan for the first time in his cricketing career. This decision is a part of the new hybrid approach set for the future cycles for 2024-2027 when the India-Pakistan matches will be played at neutral venues.

Another future ICC event in the deal is the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup, the 2026 T20 World Cup, and the 2028 Women’s T20 World Cup, with Pakistan hosting it in a hybrid manner.
