England all-rounder Ben Stokes showcased his batting prowess against the Netherlands in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match on Wednesday, November 8 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. He slammed his maiden World Cup century in the match to take England to a huge total.

Ben Stokes walked out to bat at number four following Joe Root’s dismissal. England was at 133/2 but soon got reduced to 192/6. They were in a spot of bother when Ben Stokes got together with Chris Woakes to build a solid partnership. The duo added 129 runs for the seventh wicket partnership to bail England out of trouble.

Bas de Leede picked up three wickets for the Netherlands, while Logan van Beek and Aryan Dutt took two each.
