Virat Kohli and KL Rahul delivered outstanding performances in the final of the 2023 World Cup

Australia won the coin toss and chose to bowl. Team India had a challenging beginning, losing opener Shubman Gill early. Nevertheless, Captain Rohit Sharma once again played a rapid innings, notching 47 runs from 31 balls.

India faced a delicate situation when middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer was dismissed inexpensively. However, experienced batters Virat Kohli and KL Rahul stabilized the team, creating a 67-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Under pressure, Kohli achieved an impressive half-century, surpassing the 50-run mark for the ninth time in 11 matches during the 2023 World Cup. Unfortunately, his excellent innings concluded when he was bowled by Pat Cummins in the 29th over of the match.

Rahul played well, scoring important runs and reaching fifty in the 35th over. He wants to stay in the game until the end to help India achieve a strong total in the World Cup final.
