ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: “No More Ticket Requests Pls” – Suryakumar Yadav Urges Not To Ask For Tickets

Suryakumar Yadav made a request not to seek 2023 World Cup tickets for the India vs. Pakistan match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. Yadav posted a special request on his Instagram account on Friday.

“Bhailog ghar pe acche acche TV hain sabke, enjoy karo aur AC mein baith ke match dekho. No more ticket requests pls,” along with closed eyes and prayer emojis.

Previously, prominent Indian cricketer Virat Kohli had conveyed a similar message via Instagram before the 2023 World Cup opener.

The highly anticipated India-Pakistan match is set to take place in the world’s largest cricket stadium with a seating capacity of 132,000. This will be India’s eighth encounter with Pakistan in ODI World Cups. The Indian team has maintained a perfect 7-0 record against their neighbors in this prestigious ICC tournament.

India commenced their 2023 World Cup journey against five-time champions Australia, securing a six-wicket victory in Chennai. The hosts later triumphed over Afghanistan with an eight-wicket win in Delhi.

In the first match, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were instrumental with the bat, scoring 85 and an unbeaten 97, respectively. Ravindra Jadeja also put on an impressive performance with a spell of 3/28.

In the subsequent game, India’s captain Rohit Sharma led by example, notching 131 runs against Afghanistan, while Jasprit Bumrah excelled with the ball, taking 4/39. The Indian team now aims to secure a third consecutive victory in the ICC tournament.

Pakistan, meanwhile, have also secured two back-to-back victories against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka. They first defeated the Netherlands by a margin of 81 runs and then accomplished an impressive 345-run chase against Sri Lanka, thanks to centuries from Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan.

In a recent encounter, India outperformed Pakistan with a substantial 228-run victory during the 2023 Asia Cup Super-4 match. They had previously won a 2019 World Cup game against Pakistan by 89 runs through the DLS method.

Suryakumar Yadav may not be in the lineup for the IND vs. PAK 2023 World Cup match

Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t played in the first two matches and is likely to be rested for the India-Pakistan game. In a recent three-match ODI series against Australia, he scored 130 runs with an average of 65, including two half-centuries.

In his 28 ODI innings for the Indian cricket team, the 33-year-old has accumulated 667 runs with an average of 27.79, including four half-centuries. There’s a possibility he could play if players like Shreyas Iyer or Hardik Pandya are rested in upcoming matches.
