Afghanistan aims to make a comeback in the 2023 World Cup against India

Afghanistan is scheduled to face India on Wednesday, October 11 at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. In their ODI World Cup 2023 opener against Bangladesh, Afghanistan’s team led by Hashmatullah Shahidi suffered a one-sided defeat by six wickets.

They are now determined to make a strong comeback, although overcoming the challenge of facing the formidable Indian team presents a considerable difficulty. Rashid Khan, who hasn’t been at his best lately, looks forward to a turnaround for himself and his team.

Afghanistan is participating in the ODI World Cup for the third time, having previously been part of the tournament in 2015 and 2019. Across these three editions, they have secured only a single victory.
