ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: The Unexpected Appearance Of ‘Tiger Shoaib’ Surprises Rohit Sharma During His Visit To Pune

Shoaib Ali, the enthusiastic fan from Bangladesh known as ‘Tiger Shoaib,’ was highly impressed by Rohit Sharma‘s modesty and approachability. Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma unexpectedly showed up at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium during the Bangladesh team’s practice session, arriving in his striking blue Lamborghini. This surprised everyone because some thought he might rest.

As the Bangladeshi players were training, fans gathered around Rohit, and what was particularly noteworthy was his friendly exchange with Shoaib Ali, a devoted Bangladesh fan known as ‘Tiger Shoaib.’ Rohit casually greeted Shoaib by rolling down his car window.

“Arey tu yaha agaya (Hey, you’re here!),” Rohit surprisingly asked Shoaib. Shoaib, overwhelmed by the gesture, shared, “I was waiting along with some other Bangladeshi fans outside the main gate of the stadium as the team was training inside the ground.”

“Suddenly I spotted a blue car with Rohit Sharma in the driving seat. I shouted his name. The next moment, Rohit stopped his car and spoke to me. This is why he is a big player, he is a very down-to-earth person,” Shoaib, with tears in his eyes, said as reported by The Daily Star.

Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, India will aim to continue their winning streak against Bangladesh

Rohit Sharma’s early presence reflects his commitment as he prepares for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh on October 19. India, with an unblemished record in the tournament, including a notable win against Pakistan, exudes confidence. Rohit’s explosive 86 off 63 balls against Pakistan, following his outstanding 131 versus Afghanistan, has raised expectations for another century from the experienced opener.

He had scored five centuries in the previous ODI World Cup, and fans are eager to witness him potentially surpass that record. Rohit Sharma’s dedication to training, along with his seven centuries in ODI World Cup matches, highlights his determination to secure more victories.

In contrast, Bangladesh is dealing with the task of bouncing back from back-to-back losses to England and New Zealand after their convincing win over Afghanistan in the tournament’s opener.
