#Haris Rauf

This year he has been in good form for Pakistan and will be keen to make the most of the opportunity to represent the country at the World Cup.

The speedster has taken 24 wickets for Pakistan in ODIs in 2023 at an average of 23.04, including two four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul. Overall he has taken 39 ODI wickets at an economy rate of 5.85.  With Naseem Shah out of the mega-event, Haris Rauf will have to shoulder the responsibility with Shaheen Shah Afridi.

#Heinrich Klaasen

The swashbuckling South African wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen will be making his World Cup debut at the 2023 ODI Championship. He has emerged as a terrific power-hitter for South Africa in recent times and will play a pivotal role for the team. This year he notched up his highest score in ODIs, slamming 174 runs against Australia at Centurion.

Klaasen has smashed two centuries and a fifty this year in 11 matches, scoring 527 runs at an average of 58.55. Overall, he has three centuries to his name in the format, scoring 1323 runs. The wicket-keeper has experience playing in Indian conditions and will also be crucial with the gloves behind the wickets.

#Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is the rising star of Indian cricket, emerging as a genuine wicket-taker for the team. His performances in the lead-up to the World Cup have been remarkable. He took ten wickets in five matches at the 2023 Asia Cup earlier this month to power India to their eighth title win.

The pacer is in the top five wicket-takers list in ODI cricket this year. He has picked up 30 wickets in 14 matches, at an average of 14.70 and an economy rate of 4.91. His best bowling figures of 6/21 came in the Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka, where he wreaked havoc with his bowling.
