On Sunday, the Team India squad departed from Guwahati and arrived in Thiruvananthapuram for their second warm-up game in preparation for the ICC 2023 ODI World Cup. Unfortunately, their initial warm-up match against England in Guwahati was called off on Saturday due to continuous rain, with not a single ball being bowled.
The Indian team is set to play the Netherlands on Tuesday (October 3) at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Despite the abandoned practice match against England, India’s World Cup preparations remain on the right course, as they put in commendable performances in the Asia Cup and the subsequent three-match series against Australia over the past month.
On Sunday, the ICC provided an update via its official Instagram account regarding the Indian team’s arrival in the capital of Kerala for their upcoming match. The video showcased Team India players receiving a customary welcome from the hotel staff in the city.
