ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: [WATCH] “Five Pakistan Players Said Rohit Sharma Plays The Best Pull Shot, But You Still Bowl Short To Him” – Salman Butt Lashes Out At Pakistan Bowlers

Rohit Sharma vs Pakistan

Former cricketer Salman Butt lashed out at Pakistan’s tactics against Rohit Sharma in the recent ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match that took place on Saturday, October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rohit Sharma top-scored in the match powering India to a comfortable seven wickets win over Pakistan. This was India’s eighth consecutive win against the arch-rivals in the ICC ODI World Cup history.

Rohit Sharma slammed 86 runs off 63 deliveries, with six boundaries and as many sixes. He smashed the Pakistan bowlers all around the park. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Salman Butt highlights that the bowlers kept bowling short to the Indian batter. He lashed out at their bowling strategy and also spoke about a recent clip where some of the Pakistan players described Rohit Sharma as the player who plays the best pull shot.

“Recently a video was doing the rounds of Pakistan players, in which they were asked about who plays the best pull shot in the world. And the five players said Rohit Sharma plays the best pull shot. And then in the match, you are bowling short to Rohit, and he is hitting you for sixes,” said Salman Butt.

“Five players from your team are saying that Rohit Sharma plays the best pull shot. And then your bowlers come and bowl short to him. It makes you think that they know Rohit plays the shot well, but are still bowling short to him,” he added.
