Team India head coach Rahul Dravid along with the rest of the support staff went to Triund Trek in Dharamsala on Tuesday, October 25. The team has a week-long break before their next ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match against England. The support staff made the most of the break by having an eventful trekking day.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video on social media from the trek. Head coach Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathore, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and other support members can be seen navigating through the climb up the mountain. They also pose for pictures sitting on a rock.
“Superb view coming up to Triund. Just getting here, you are going up the mountain, climbing. It’s a challenging trek, I must admit it. Once you come here, the views are breathtaking and spectacular. It’s incredible for the support staff to be able to come here. Just a great day out as well,” said Rahul Dravid.

No Trekking for Team India players
Team India players were prohibited from going on trek as it would have been risky in the middle of the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Head coach Rahul Dravid expressed that he would love to come with the players again on the Triund trek after the tournament. In the video shared by the BCCI, Rahul Dravid said,
“Unfortunately, can’t bring the boys up here, a bit too risky walking on those stones. But hopefully, one day when they are not playing (any tournament), I would love for some of the boys to come here and experience this.”
Team India has dominated the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 so far., and is at the top of the table. They have won all their five matches and have ten points. They will take on England next on Sunday, October 29. The Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow with host the two cricketing giants.
