Ravindra Jadeja took a spectacular catch to dismiss New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips in the 2023 World Cup match at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Wednesday. In the 43rd over of New Zealand’s innings, Jasprit Bumrah delivered a slower ball, leading to Glenn Phillips mistiming his lofted drive.
The ball gained more height than distance. Positioned at long-off, Jadeja skillfully moved to his left, maintaining focus on the ball, and successfully completed the catch near the boundary ropes.
The wicket not only ended the significant 75-run partnership between Phillips and Daryl Mitchell but also prompted an appreciative wave from Jadeja towards the cheering crowd.
Promptly, a cameraperson captured the reaction of Ravindra Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba, to the exceptional catch.
