It is officially announced by the ICC that finally Lord’s Cricket Ground in London shall be the venue of the ICC World Test Championship 2025. The much-awaited fight is scheduled to happen between 11th and 15th of June with the 16th of June coming in as the reserve date.
The championship final will now be played at Lord’s for the first time after the finals have been played at The Oval in 2021 and 2023 which Australia and New Zealand won. The decision to conduct the final at Lord’s, which widely considered to be the spiritual home of cricket, increases the fans interest and the event status.
This had created a buzz looking forward to have a wonderful experience at the testing place for the end of the testers’ competition. The announcement from ICC has generated lot of pre final interest and expectation towards the final battle in the world of Test cricket.

ICC CEO Geoff Allardice stated that the ICC Test Championship Final has grown to be one of cricket’s most anticipated events when revealing the dates of the match. He encouraged spectators to the match while stressing the value of Test cricket.
“The ICC World Test Championship Final has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the cricketing calendar and we are pleased to announce the dates for the 2025 edition,” Geoff Allardice said.
“It’s a testament to the enduring appeal of Test cricket, which continues to captivate fans around the world. Tickets will be in high demand so I would encourage fans to register their interest now to ensure they are in with a chance of attending the Ultimate Test next year” Geoff Allardice added.
