New Zealand is playing Scotland in the first of the two games on Wednesday, but the whole focus is on the second game of the day between India and New Zealand. India have lost both their games so far in the tournament and needs to win all their remaining games to make it to the semis.
In one of the other equations, India will be benefitted if Scotland beats the Kiwis in the ongoing contest. Scotland wicketkeeper Matthew Cross reminded his bowler Chris Greaves the same in one of the overs that he came onto bowl.
“Whole Of India Behind You Here Greevo” said Cross with Glenn Phillips facing his over.

Earlier in the game, Scotland won the toss and opted to bat against the Kiwis. They got New Zealand down to 52 for 3 and after that Martin Guptill and Phillips added a 105 run stand to take the side beyond 150.
Meanwhile, in one of the press conferences, Scotland skipper Kyle Coetzer said he is excited and looking forward to the match against India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He also said, it will be a special moment for him and anyone to stand besides Virat Kohli during the toss ceremony.
Standing next to Virat at the toss will be a special occasion for anyone, not just myself. He is an idol of the game, a stylish man the way he scores his runs,” Coetzer was quoted as saying by Indian Express.
According to the Scotland captain, the match against India will be the biggest match of the tournament for them in this mega event.
“I was fortunate enough to bump into him in the lift earlier today. I have had occasions in the past to spend some time with him and have a chat. But Virat Kohli is someone I haven’t had any opportunity to have a conversation with. Look, we want to play hard, trying to push India as hard as we possibly can on the day. But we have to be realistic” he said.
Meanwhile, if Scotland manages to win against the Kiwis tonight it will be one of the biggest upsets in the tournament and also keeps India in the hunt.
