ICC T20 World Cup 2024: [WATCH] Hardik Pandya Unleashes A Bowling Onslaught Against Ireland

Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya consistently delivers impressive bowling performances, and in the exciting match between India and Ireland at Nassau County Stadium on June 5, he once again demonstrated his exceptional skill.

Hardik Pandya began his first over in the opening match of the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he dismissed Lorcan Tucker, who had scored 10 off 13 balls. This occurred in the 7th over when Pandya struck, cleanly bowling Tucker. Pandya hit the seam and the ball nipped back in.

Tucker, attempting a straight drive on the front foot, was undone by Pandya’s delivery. You can watch the video here:

The ball was delivered from over the stumps on a length outside the off stump. It hit the seam, sneaked through the bat and pad, and struck the middle stump. It was a beautiful delivery. Earlier in the game, after India won the toss and chose to bowl, Arshdeep Singh outperformed Ireland by dismissing openers Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie.

Hardik Pandya initiates his revenge narrative with a traditional fast bowler’s delivery against Ireland

Hardik Pandya has faced criticism since assuming leadership of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He endured a challenging period both as a player and captain in the tournament. However, his cricketing abilities were always unquestionable, and he is once again demonstrating that in India’s inaugural World Cup match against Ireland.

Hardik displayed excellence with both bat and ball in India’s warm-up match, and against Ireland, he has already taken three wickets. His victims were Lorcan Tucker, Curtis Campher, and Mark Adair. Notably, his dismissal of Campher, with a classic seam delivery, would make any top-tier pacer proud.

On the final delivery of the ninth over, Hardik Pandya delivered a good-length ball around off stump. Curtis Campher attempted a tentative defensive shot, but the ball nicked the faint outside edge of his bat, and Rishabh Pant, stationed behind the stumps, easily took the catch.

In addition to Hardik, the other Indian bowlers also thrived in the conditions, capitalizing on Ireland’s batters’ inability to adapt to the challenging pitch.
