Bumrah achieved this feat following his impressive performance against Bangladesh, where he took six wickets, helping India secure a seven-wicket victory and clinch the series 2-0.
This marks only the second time Bumrah has held the top spot, overtaking teammate Ravichandran Ashwin, who is now just one point behind with a rating of 869 after taking five wickets in the same match. Bumrah’s skill and consistency have solidified his status as a leading force in international cricket.
Rising Stars in the Batters’ Rankings
Yashasvi Jaiswal also made headlines by jumping two spots to reach third place in the batters’ rankings, achieving a new career-high rating. His commendable scores of 72 and 51 in the Kanpur Test earned him the Player of the Match award.
