Royal Challengers Bangalore’s all-rounder Chris Morris feels that playing with less travelling has been refreshing this season. The Indian Premier League can be one excruciating tournament with the number of matches and travelling involved in every season. When the IPL was played in India for all these years, it would involve a lot of travelling but times have changed with the IPL being conducted in the UAE this year.

There is minimal travelling as the Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi are located very close to each other. The maximum travel the teams have been doing this year is between Abu Dhabi and Dubai / Sharjah as its a journey of two hours but other than that there is bare minimum travel.

In RCB, We Do A Lot Of Homework: Chris Morris

Chris Morris, in an online media interaction, mentioned that the break due to the coronavirus lockdown helped him regain mental freshness. Also talking about his comeback to playing cricket, he feels its good to playing cricket again but this time for a new franchise the Royal Challengers Bangalore where he seems to have got a much better quality of understanding for his role in the side.

“The break (due to COVID-19) was really nice both for the body and mental freshness. Good to be playing again and it is just a lot of clarity and how the execution needs to be,” said the 33-year-old in an online media interaction.

Chris Morris also spoke about the fact that how RCB have three-game plans (A, B, C) if the two priority plans don’t go their way then they will always have a plan C ready in their books.

“We do a lot of homework. By the time we get to the game, we know what is required. Our plans have been clear and if something falls we have a plan B ready, if that doesn’t work we got a plan C and if that also fails, hopefully, my over is done (laughs),” Chris Morris concluded.
