During the 2nd T20I clash between India and Afghanistan in Indore, an ardent Virat Kohli fan defied security measures to embrace the cricket icon. Virat Kohli, actively participating in the match, intervened as security personnel removed the enthusiastic fan, urging them to handle the situation with gentleness. The overwhelming fan devotion to Virat Kohli in India reached new heights during this incident.
The young man, equipped with a valid match ticket, infiltrated the Holkar Stadium through the Narendra Hirwani Gate. A fervent Kohli admirer, he scaled the fence of the spectators’ gallery with the sole intent of meeting his cricketing idol. Kohli’s compassion extended beyond the game, evident in video footage where he instructs security to handle the fan “aaram se, aaram se” (with ease and composure).

In the sporting arena, India went on to secure a notable victory over Afghanistan, winning the second T20I by six wickets. This triumph propelled India to an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-game series, serving as a significant prelude to the impending T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies.
Rohit Sharma in the post-match presentation said: “We have been clear with what we wanted to do, very clear message to everyone and when you see a performance like that, you can be really proud. One thing is talking about it, but to actually go there and play that way is a proud feeling. The last two games, we’ve ticked a lot of boxes.” Yashasvi Jaiswal (68) and Shivam Dube (63) smashed brutal fifties to chase down a target of 173 with ease.”
“They’ve had a great couple of years, Jaiswal has played Test cricket now and even T20I. He has shown what he is capable of. He has the talent and has a great range of shots.”
