India will face Australia in the 3rd and final One-day international match to be played at SCA Stadium Rajkot on 27th September. It promises to be an exciting encounter as Indian team will see the return of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli before the 2023 World Cup.
On the other hand, Glenn Maxwell might return to playing XI. Both teams will look to do their job on a good batting pitch at Rajkot and gain confidence ahead of the World Cup matches.
Here we look at the 3 Probable Leading Run Scorer Between India and Australia in 3rd ODI
- Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma will return to open the innings along with Ishan Kishan. India’s regular captain Rohit missed the first two One-day internationals and would look to perform well against the Australian side ahead of World Cup 2023.
Rohit would look to showcase his attacking skills in the first 10 overs against Australian bowling and make sure give a flying start along with Ishan Kishan. The Indian captain has array of strokes which will keep him in good stead and make sure Indian team lay strong foundation to post a decent total or chase down the targets with ease.
- David Warner
The explosive opener David Warner looked impressive in the second One-day international at Indore. He looked in attacking touch and put pressure on Indian bowling attack. Warner showed his aggression with 53 runs in the chase of 400 runs.
During his innings of 53 runs, Warner smashed 7 fours and 1 six. He was eventually dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin. He would be looking to continue his superb form before the World Cup game.
Warner can change the momentum of the innings and put pressure on the Indian bowling lineup. It will be interesting to see if the veteran can continue his brilliant show.
- Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli will return to the playing XI as he rested for the first One-day internationals. His form will be crucial before the World Cup 2023. If he shows his strength at number 3, it augers well before the mega event.
Kohli needs to spend at the crease before launching an attack on the Australian bowling lineup. After missing first two One-day internationals, the focus will be during match and hope that he comes up with another brilliant knock and helps Team India whitewash Australian side for first time in One-day internationals.
