IND vs AUS: David Warner Ruled Out Of The Remaining Two Test Matches

The Australia Cricket Team has been dealt another major as star batter David Warner has been ruled out of the next two Test matches to be played in Indore and Ahmedabad due to a hairline fracture that he suffered during the 2nd Test match.

Warner did not perform according to expectations being dismissed by Mohammed Shami in the first innings of the first Test match at Nagpur and Ashwin made life miserable for Warner during the 2nd innings.

Warner’s poor form continued in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test match at Arun Jaitley, New Delhi. He survived LBW shout given out by the umpire but on review, it was overturned to not out as there inside edge. Warner was eventually dismissed by Mohammed Shami with beauty.

Matt Renshaw was the concussion replacement for David Warner. Renshaw was dismissed cheaply as Australia could manage just 113 after being 61 for 1 on the 2nd day.

“David Warner has been ruled out of the Qantas test tour of India and will return home,” CA said in a statement issued this afternoon. Warner was struck on the elbow in the second Test in Delhi and sustained a hairline fracture.”

Australia disappointed with the batting performance

Travis Head opened the innings for Australia in the 2nd innings and provided a flying start. After the wicket of Head, Australia kept losing wickets at regular intervals and added just 52 runs for the loss of 9 wickets to be bowled out for just 113 runs.

The first innings saw Usman Khawaja as the top scorer with 81 runs along with Peter Handscomb providing some resistance to the Australian side. Australia managed 263 runs in the first innings. After leaving India in trouble, Axar Patel and R Ashwin added 114 for the 8th wicket helping to reduce the deficit to just 1 run.

Pat Cummins left India as there was some serious health concerns in his family. Australia would look to showcase their performance in the 3rd Test match starting from 1 March in Indore and the final test match to be played in Ahmedabad from 9 March.
