IND vs AUS: India Squad For Last Two Tests Announced; India Add Jaydev Unadkat For ODIs

Team India have registered a comfortable win over Australia in the second Test. While two more Tests will take place, the India squad for those announced along with the ODI squad. They have added left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat to the ODI squad against Australia. Also Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, and middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer have been added.

However, India won’t get the services of Rohit Sharma for the first ODI – who will be unavailable due to family commitments, BCCI said in a release as well. Hardik Pandya will lead the team in his absence.

The players like Shahbaz Ahmed and Rajat Patidar – who were part of the team for the New Zealand series last month – have been dropped. Meanwhile, KL Rahul returns but he has been released from the vice-captain post of the side this time around as well.

India ODI Squad:

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (Vice-captain), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umran Malik, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Jaydev Unadkat

However, Team India will play the third and fourth Test against Australia – in Indore and Ahmedabad respectively and they have named the same squad that won at Nagpur and Delhi and also helped the team retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Jaydev Unadkat, who was earlier released to play in the Ranji Trophy final where he led Saurashtra to their second title, will return for the third Test, starting on March 1. The fourth fixture of the series will be played from March 9 as well.
