He started with his amazing spell stunned Virat Kohli as he gets him beat 3 balls in straight and gets him out on the 4th ball of the 4 over, leaving Kohli shellshocked with the delivery.

Mitchell Starc bowled consistently with his swing deliveries and was unstoppable in the 2nd innings, he picked up 3 crucial wickets for Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav.

Mitchell Starc did a good comeback for the side

He showed a brilliant performance yet his efforts could not result in victory for his team. The last time he appeared in an ODI match was against England on 19th November 2022 after that he faced an injury and was out from the game for a while.

The Indian side chased down the target with the help of the crucial partnership of KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja. KL Rahul scored 75 runs off 91 balls at a strike rate of 82.42 whereas Ravindra Jadeja scored 45 runs off 69 balls at a strike rate of 65.22

From the Australian side, Starc and Marcus Stonis picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively. The Australian side failed to perform as per expectations and suffered a devastating loss.

Batting earlier, the Australian side failed to put up a decent target despite having a deep batting lineup, as the Indian bowlers bowled flawlessly in restricting the opposition at the lowest.

Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj, picked up 3-3 wickets. Whereas Ravindra Jadeja picked up 2 wickets and Kuldeep Yadav along with Hardik Pandya grabbed 1 wicket each. The visitors will be eyeing scoring the ODI series in the upcoming match on 19th March 2023.
