IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma Gets Furious As Spectator Creating Trouble Near Sight Screen

Rohit Sharma says hatao during 2nd Day

The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team made a strong comeback on the 2nd day of the fourth Test played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 10 March 2023.

India bowled out Australia for 480 after an impressive partnership between Cameron Green and Usman Khawaja put on 208 runs for the 5th wicket. R Ashwin was the pick of bowlers for India grabbing 6 for 91. Indian bowlers struggled badly in the first session as Green and Khawaja looked impressive.

R Ashwin got the breakthrough dismissing Green, Alex Carey, and Mitchell Starc in quick succession to leave Australia in some trouble. Todd Murphy and Nathan Lyon added 70 important runs to help the visitors post 480 runs in the first innings.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill began the innings brilliantly putting pressure on Australian bowlers. Shubman Gill hit a six off Nathan Lyon in the final over of day 2 as Rohit Sharma says hatao as spectator was not able to find the ball. He went inside the sightscreen and found the ball. It was a brilliant batting effort as Rohit and Gill put on 36 runs in 10 overs in response to 480.

The umpires started the process of the new ball before the fan found the ball. The spectator started celebrating and waved after his achievement which made for some funny moments.

It was a brilliant pitch to bat on as there was nothing for the pacers as well as spinners. R Ashwin created enough doubt with great control and deceived batters with his variations. The veteran off-spinner trapped Green down the leg with a lovely catch by KS Bharat to end 208 runs partnership for the 5th wicket. He then got rid of Alex Carey cheaply as Axar Patel took a simple catch. Ashwin then dismissed Mitchell Starc with a sharp catch by Shreyas Iyer at short leg.

India looking for a big total in the first innings

The Indian batting was disappointed a lot in the first three Test matches of the series. They will be looking to make a mark in the first innings of the fourth Test. With the likes of Pujara, Kohli, Rohit, Shreyas Iyer, and Ravindra Jadeja, it will be important to team India to post near the total of Australia.

Shubman Gill also failed to contribute many runs in the 3rd Test match at Indore. The Indian top order will be looking to provide a solid foundation.
