Team India cricketer Suryakumar Yadav is one of the best batters in T20 cricket in the world. He has also led the team from the front in the ongoing T20I series against Australia. The Indian skipper is on the verge of breaking Virat Kohli’s record in the upcoming T20I on Tuesday, November 28 in Guwahati.

Suryakumar Yadav is the top-ranked batter in T20I cricket at the moment. He showcased his brilliance in the first T20I on Thursday, in Visakhapatnam. The swashbuckling cricketers slammed 80 runs from 42 deliveries, with nine boundaries and four sixes. He also played a fine hand of 19 runs in the second game. Heading into the third T20I, the right-hander will be eyeing to become the fastest Indian to 2000 T20I runs.

Suryakumar Yadav has scored 1940 runs for Team India in T20Is. He averages 46.19 and has a strike rate of 173.52. He needs 60 more runs to get to the 2000 T20I runs feat. If he scores these runs in the next three innings, Suryakumar Yadav will become the fastest Indian to get to 2000 runs in T20Is. Virat Kohli holds the record currently, achieving the landmark in 56 innings. Overall the record is held jointly by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, both took 52 innings.

Suryakumar Yadav backs all of us: Prasidh Krishna

Team India pacer Prasidh Krishna showered Suryakumar Yadav’s leadership in the  T20I series against Australia. The ongoing series marks Suryakumar Yadav’s debut as India’s captain. So far, under his leadership, India has defeated Australia in both the T20Is. Prasidh Krishna expressed that Suryakumar Yadav trusts his players and backs them all the way.

“It shows in the way he (Suryakumar) bats — very similar in his captaincy as well. He trusts his players, backs all of us to do what we want to do and he’s there right behind us to support if there’s anything going wrong,” said Prasidh Krishna.
