IND vs AUS: [WATCH] Cameron Green’s Schoolboy Error Costs Him His Wicket

In the second match at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, India asserted their dominance over Australia without a doubt. However, the Australian side appeared somewhat lacklustre on the field, particularly Cameron Green, who displayed a noticeable lack of effort.

In their pursuit of a daunting 400-run target, the Australian team’s batting initially showed promise with David Warner contributing 53 runs and Marnus Labuschagne adding 27 runs to the total. Cameron Green adopted an aggressive approach, giving hope that he might sustain the fight for his team.

While Cameron Green showcased some crisp shots, a critical error reminiscent of a schoolboy mistake curtailed his time at the crease. In the 20th over, he was run out, and he had only himself to blame for this dismissal. Despite reaching the crease, he failed to keep his bat grounded.

Watch the Dismissal Here:

During his brief innings, Cameron Green managed to score just 19 runs off 13 balls, including one four and one six. His departure triggered a collapse in the Australian batting order. However, late resistance was mounted by Sean Abbott, who scored 54 runs, and Josh Hazlewood, who contributed 23 runs. Nevertheless, the target proved insurmountable, and Australia was ultimately bowled out for 217 runs, suffering a defeat by a substantial margin of 99 runs.

Cameron Green’s performance in the match was far from stellar. He struggled with the ball, as the Indian bowlers relentlessly targeted him, sending his deliveries to all corners of the field and leaving him searching for answers.

Remarkably, Cameron Green conceded a staggering 103 runs in his 10 overs while managing to claim only 2 wickets. This unfortunate performance placed him in the undesirable company of just three other Australian bowlers who have conceded over 100 runs in an innings: Mick Lewis, Andrew Tye, and Adam Zampa. Additionally, he became the 19th bowler overall in cricket history to achieve this dubious feat.
