Ben Stokes-led England pulled off a historic victory defeating India in the first Test on Sunday, January 28 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The match witnessed several outstanding performances, inspiring the hosts to a 28-run win.
Tom Hartley, who made his debut in the test, emerged as the top performer with the ball for England. He picked up nine wickets in the match, rattling the Indian batting order. Ollie Pope led their batting unit with a terrific century in the second innings. He smashed 196 runs powering them to set a target of 230 runs.
