Team India arrived in Rajkot for the third Test against England in the ongoing five-match test series. They were warmly welcomed at the team hotel. The third test will kick off on Thursday, February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, after a brief break for the teams.

The Indian team arrived at Rajkot’s Sayaji Hotel, where they will stay for the third Test. According to an article by India Today, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will be staying in a presidential suite room. The room has a Royal Heritage theme, showcasing the Royal culture of Saurashtra. Meanwhile, wicket-keeper KL Rahul will also be staying in a suite with a Saurashtra heritage theme.

Hotel director Urvesh Purohit in a special interview with AajTak expressed that the players travel all over the world and usually get Western-themed rooms everywhere. He added that the Saurashtra heritage-themed rooms will give them an Indian experience.

Special Gujarati and Kathiyawadi food arrangements for Team India

The Sayaji Hotel’s director further expressed that special Gujarati and Kathiyawadi food arrangements are made for the Indian players on February 13. He added that the players will be served Fafda-Jalebi, Khakhra, Gathiya, Thepla, Khaman for breakfast, and special Kathiyawadi food like Dahi Tikari, Vagherela Rotlo (Bajra Roti fried with yogurt and garlic), Khichdi Kadhi for dinner.

The five-match series is levelled after the first two Test matches. England won the first Test at Hyderabad, defending 230 runs. However, India made a comeback in the second Test. They defeated the visitors by 106 runs in Visakhapatnam.
