James Anderson, the experienced seamer for England, bowled a superb delivery on Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against India, removing Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s off-stump. He continued his success by dismissing the in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was caught in the slips. Rohit Sharma found himself in trouble, caught off guard as he played inside the line and remained stuck in his crease.

The ball subtly moved away after pitching. Similarly, Yashasvi Jaiswal fell prey to the outward movement after the delivery pitched. Attempting a splendid drive against a full-pitched delivery, the young player experienced a slight movement that led to an outside edge. Joe Root at first slip securely caught the subsequent chance.

After a challenging Day 2 in Vishakapatnam, England made a strong beginning on the third day, securing an early wicket. Rohit Sharma, who had abandoned his cautious approach from the first innings, started his second innings positively. Despite resuming his overnight score of 13, the skipper couldn’t add to his tally after facing eight deliveries on Day 3.

Similarly, Jaiswal managed to add only a couple of runs from his overnight score of 15, failing to replicate his first-innings success.

James Anderson, who played a crucial role in the first innings with three wickets, continues to make an impact with the new ball in the second innings. As the sole seam bowling option in the team, the veteran is anticipated to utilize the ageing ball for reverse swing, similar to what Jasprit Bumrah demonstrated on Day 2.

India is still trying to bounce back after James Anderson took two wickets early on this day

Despite the Men in Blue having a commanding lead after the first innings, the visitors are gradually getting back into the game with an impressive start on Day 3. Anderson and the spinners are not giving India much room to work with.

Currently at 30-2 in the ninth over, Team India has the duo of Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill, who are facing challenges from the England bowlers. Gill, in particular, has survived some close LBW calls against Tom Hartley and James Anderson to stay at the crease.
