Bollywood actress and Virat Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, shared an emotional reaction on Instagram following the star batter’s century in the second ODI against South Africa in Raipur. She posted an Instagram story featuring a heart emoji as Kohli notched his second consecutive hundred of the series.
The former Indian captain had earlier scored his 83rd international century in the series opener at Ranchi, smashing 135 runs off 120 balls to guide India to a commanding total of 349. In Raipur, Kohli was in fine form again, coming to the crease in the fifth over after Rohit Sharma was caught behind off Nandre Burger.
He reached his fifty in just 47 balls and completed his hundred in 90 deliveries. Here’s Anushka’s post celebrating Kohli’s 53rd ODI century:

Kohli-Gaikwad 195-Run Stand Powers India To 358
Despite Ruturaj Gaikwad failing to make a big score in the first ODI at Ranchi, India gave him another chance at number four. The Pune-born batter seized it brilliantly, scoring his first ODI century off 77 balls. Gaikwad’s 195-run partnership with Kohli ended in the 36th over when he was dismissed for 105 by Marco Jansen.
Whereas Virat Kohli faced a challenging tour of Australia, he displayed his class on home soil by scoring a brilliant 135 runs off 120 balls, guiding India to a 17-run victory over South Africa. His innings, which included seven sixes, reaffirmed his dominance and conveyed a strong message amid ongoing discussions regarding his future.
Later, KL Rahul’s unbeaten 66 off 43 balls helped India cross 350, finishing at 358/5 in 50 overs, with Ravindra Jadeja remaining not out on 24 from 27 deliveries. Earlier, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to field first, considering the dew factor.
