The Indian Women’s Cricket Team registered a comprehensive 5-wicket win in the 3rd and final T20I match played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 10th December 2023. It was a brilliant bowling effort as Renuka Singh, Shryeanka Patil, and Saika Ishaque bowled with great control picking up wickets at regular intervals to bowl England out for 126 in 20 overs.

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues shared a lovely partnership keeping the scoreboard ticking. The Indian batters kept their calm as they won the match by 5 wickets with 1 over to spare.

  1. Renuka Singh did the early damage

Renuka Singh had a lovely impact in the 3rd T20I match with the ball. She produced a peach to dismiss Maia Boucher. She then dismissed Sophia Dunkley to put the England team on the back foot.

Singh bowled with decent lines and lengths keeping the England batters honest. She was at her best with figures of 2 for 23 in 4 overs. It was a superb bowling effort as Renuka Singh did not allowed to score runs freely.

It was a sensational bowling effort by Renuka Singh gave just 3 boundaries in the entire 4 overs spell that put enough pressure on England’s batters.

  1. Saika Ishaque and Shryeanka Patil picked 3 wickets each.

Saika Ishaque and Shryeanka Patil rattled the England batting lineup. Saika Ishaque dismissed Alice Capsey in her first ball off the sixth over. The left-handed bowler Ishaque got rid of Jones ending a steady partnership. She then dismissed Danielle Gibson on the next delivery to leave the England team in trouble.

Shryeanka Patil got Bess Heath, Freya Kemp, and Sophie Ecclestone wickets to leave England batting in trouble. Saika ended with figures of 3 for 22 while Patil grabbed 3 for 19 in 4 overs making life tough for the England batters.

  1. Bringing in Amanjot Kaur

Amanjot Kaur was given a chance in the playing XI replacing Pooja Vastkar. She was introduced in the 4th over and did a superb job with her bowling. Amanjot dismissed England captain Heather Knight for a well-made half-century. She then ended the innings getting rid of Mahika Gaur to bowl out England women for 126 in 20 overs.

Kaur came to the crease and finished the match with 2 boundaries with attacking shots. She remained calm helping the Indian women’s team win by 5 wickets including 1 over to spare.
