Team India’s stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya is disappointed with the facilities provided by the West Indies Cricket Board (CWI) on the ongoing tour of the Carribean. He urged the board to take care of the basic necessities of the touring teams in the future. Team India is in the Carribean for a multi-format tour against the hosts.

According to an Indian Express, the Indian players were unhappy with the travel arrangements ahead of their first ODI in Barbados. Their flight was delayed which caused trouble for the team. Some of the members wrote to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), requesting it not to book any further night flights due to delay issues.

Following the final ODI against West Indies in Trinidad, Hardik Pandya expressed his disappointment with the arrangements made by West Indies Cricket Board on the tour. He said,

“This was one of the nicest grounds we have played. Things can be better when we come to West Indies next time. From travelling to managing a lot of things. Last year also, some hiccups happened.”

“I think it’s time for West Indies Cricket to take note of it and make sure that when a team travels… We don’t ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of. Other than that, really enjoyed coming here and playing some good cricket,” he added.
