India will try to continue their winning streak against England on February 6 during the first ODI at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. This series contributes to the final preparations for both teams Champions Trophy 2025, starting less than two weeks later.
On the T20I series, with only Adil Rashid as their sole specialist spinner, England went on the defensive; that is precisely the point where the planning had a flaw. To support Rashid in the 50overs format, they have now requested that young spinner Rehan Ahmed stay back with the team.
Both teams will be missing vital players, with India not having the services of pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and England missing out on dynamic wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith.
However, both teams shall be keen to get in a final touch-up for the Champions Trophy. India, fresh off their 4-1 win in the T20I series, will want to carry that momentum into the ODI series as for England; the charm will be to recover from that defeat against India in the T20I series and to make a huge statement ahead of the Championships Trophy.

Who Will the Match?
India seems to be going into the first ODI against England with a great deal of strength after winning the T20I series 4-1. The return of experienced players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has fortified India’s batting.
Traditionally, India has been dominant over England in bilateral ODI series at home, winning seven out of ten series. The only win for England was in the season 1984/85, while two series have ended in a draw. Given all this, it is safe to assume that India will win the match.
