Pusarla Venkata Sindhu has created history at the Tokyo Olympics. PV Sindhu has now become the first Indian Woman to win two individual Olympics medals. Overall the ace Indian shuttler is only the second Indian after Sushil Kumar to achieve the enormous milestone.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, PV Sindhu faced a defeat at the Olympics against the world’s number one shuttler. PV Sindhu faced the number one badminton player in the world; Tai Tzu of Chinese Taipei in the semi-final match of the event. However in the end Tai Tzu was victorious and Sindhu lost the match by 18-21, 12-21.
Meanwhile, she still had an opportunity to win a bronze medal for India at the Olympics and become the only second Indian to bag two individual Olympic medals. Notably, the first Indian to reach this milestone was wrestler Sushil Kumar. Sushil Kumar won the bronze medal in the 2008 Games in Beijing. Also, he performed even better went to London Games to win the silver medal to become the first two-time Indian Olympic medallist.
PV Sindhu creates history after winning bronze at Tokyo Olympics
In the meantime, PV Sindhu was able to perform exceptionally and bag a bronze Olympic medal at Tokyo Olympics. On Sunday Sindhu went against China’s He Bing Jiao at the Tokyo Olympics. Moreover, She won the crucial match 21-13, 21-15 to create history. She started aggressively and was able to get a lead of 4-0 in the first match. However, Bing Jiao made a good comeback and the scores were tie at 5-5. Meanwhile, after that Sindhu didn’t give a single chance to Jiao. As with her calculated attack and defense, she went up at 18-11 and won the game by 21-13 to take the lead in the match.
Meanwhile, she once again got the lead early on in the second match. At one point in time match was hanging at 19-15 however this is where Sindhu started her dominance. Also without giving away a single point she won the second game by 21-15.
