Delhi pacer Parvinder Awana has been bashed badly by a group of bullies in Greater Noida on Friday, July 21. The 31-year old whose car Mahindra XUV was damaged in the assault has made 2 T20I appearances for India and has played for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL. The sequence of events is unclear and police have started the investigation.
This is the second instance of an Indian cricketer being thrashed by madmen in a week. On Sunday, Mohammad Shami was allegedly beaten up by a group of bullies in his hometown Kolkata.
Shami was involved in an altercation with a motorcyclist who along with two more men entered his house and went rogue. The watchman of the building had to step in which and hell broke loose.
