Indonesia Women Thrash Singapore Women In 3rd T20I

The Indonesian Women thrashed Singapore in the third T20I match played at Udyana Cricket Ground, Bali on 6 November 2022. It was a dominating performance by Indonesian women proving too strong for Singapore.

Singapore captain Shafina Mahesh won the toss and decided to field first. Kadek Winda and Mia Arda looked cautious initially at the beginning. Vinu Kumar got the breakthrough dismissing Kadek. Indonesian openers put on 33 runs for the opening wicket. Maria Corazon and Arda kept the scoreboard ticking for Indonesia putting Singapore bowlers under pressure.

Corazon and Arda looked in great touch not allowing the Singapore bowlers to settle. Dhavina dismissed Corazon with lovely stumping to end 66 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Arda showed his experience hitting shots remaining not out on 62 off 67 balls while Andraini gave most of the strike helping Indonesian women post 132 for 2. Arda and Andraini added unbeaten 33 runs for the third wicket.

Chasing 133 runs to win, Singapore batters struggled against disciplined Indonesian bowling. Singapore captain Shafina Mahesh was the top scorer with 17 while the rest of the batters struggled. It was a disappointing batting performance by Singapore as they could only score 70 for 7. Indonesian women won the match by 62 runs.

Rahmawati Pangestuti grabbed 2 wickets while Dara Paramitha also took 2 to never allow Singapore batters in the chase. For his unbeaten 62 off 67 balls, Mir Arda was the player of the match award.

With this win, Indonesian women won the 5-match T20 series with 2 matches still to spare. Indonesian women produced dominating performances in the first two encounters. They would be looking to continue their impressive as the Indonesian women won 1st match by 96 runs on 4th November and followed with 121 runs win in 2nd encounter played on 5 November.

The fourth and fifth T20I match would be played on the November 7 and 8, respectively. Indonesian women dominated Singapore in the first three matches so far.
