Team India was at their imperious best in the third ODI against the reigning world champions Australia as they won the game quite easily and clinched the unassailable 3-0 lead in the series. Aussies were at 220/1 in 39th overlooking to post a mammoth first innings total after Smith elected to bat first in a do or die game, but some average batting and accurate death bowling by Indian bowlers restricted the total to a paltry 293 on the beautiful batting wicket.
After being 2-0 down in the series, men in yellow needed to win this game to stay alive in the series but all their hopes were put to bed due to a blistering start by Rohit Sharma. India did wobble a little bit in the middle overs losing few wickets but the upcoming rising superstar brilliantly measured and at times destructive innings ensured that India was victorious and clinched the series continuing their unbeaten streak in ODIs.
Twitteratis were all in praise of Pandya and Indian team of their magnificent all-around performance. Understandably lack of fight by the Australian side in this series was also criticized humorously. Here”s all the action from the social media site:
9th win on the trot for India in ODIs – equals their best winning streak. Earlier one came under Dhoni between Nov 2008 & Jan 2009.#IndvAus

The sign of a good team is when players grow and play larger roles. Bhuvi and Bumrah have, the wrist spinners have and Pandya definitely has
