India won a closely fought ODI against New Zealand by 2-1. Both teams will meet each in three-match T20I series starting from 1st November. Team India has never defeated New Zealand during this shorter format. It promises to be exciting series with both teams having quality players that can change the course of the game.

In the previous T20I series against Australia, Kohli could not score many runs in the 2 matches played. If Kohli can produce magical knocks, then India would definitely break the record of not winning a T20I match against New Zealand.

Martin Guptill an explosive opener will play an important role in the T20I series. He does not have a great record in T20I scoring 58 runs in 4 matches with the best score of 41. His ability to hit big strokes in the first six overs and putting pressure on the bowlers makes him a dangerous player. New Zealand would depend on Guptill to provide solid starts and help the visitors post a big total.

The New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult had a decent ODI series against team India. His role is to take early wickets and put pressure on the opposition batsmen. In the T20I series beginning from 1st November, Boult would be looking taking wickets with new ball and not allow the Indian batsmen to score runs easily. If he could swing the ball and make early breakthroughs, then New Zealand has a chance to put pressure on the Indian team.
