Virat Kohli is all set to miss his maiden stint with Surrey in county cricket due to an injury. BCCI confirmed the news that the Indian skipper suffered a neck injury in the IPL.
Virat Kohli scored over 530 runs in this edition of IPL. Reports suggest that the Indian icon visited the orthopaedic department at Hinduja hospital and the results were a bit negative.
Kohli had a long season in the past two years as he represented India in all the matches sans the limited overs against the Srilankans at home and the Nidahas trophy.
BCCI in its release said that “the skipper injured himself in the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Bengaluru. It also stated that he is under the supervision of the BCCI medical team, and will not be able to represent Surrey in the county cricket”.
He is expected to undergo a fitness test at MCA, Bangalore on June 15 and this will be really a worry if he might not be at his best prior to England series.
