With IPL hardly a week away, there is so much of excitement around. Yes, it is that time of they year when everyone in India , from school children to the retired spend their evening with a cricketing treat.

What an year it has been so far for this man! However, he wasn”t able to get the dream run going in the Border-Gavaskar trophy. It will be interesting to see if Virat can get his gears on in the IPL both as captain, and a batsman.
2. MS Dhoni
This man gave a shocker to the cricketing fraternity a couple of months ago by stepping down as the Indian captain. What is more astounding is the fact that Pune appointed Steve Smith as captain instead of Dhoni. Are we up for a Dhoni treat soon? We just gotta wait and watch.
3. Rashid Khan
Young Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan, who stunned one & all after being picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping Rs 4 crore ($600,000) in the IPL auction. This piece of raw talent from Afghanistan is only 18 years old and is making headlines already. He just became a crorepati overnight at the IPL auction. Not just that but it looks like he is getting a five-for every other game. Can he be a legend in the making?4. Chris Gayle

How can we miss out this guy? Its always interesting to take a look at this guys batting style. Gayle has now transformed into a T20 specialist. But is that really a good thing? A T20 specialist doesn”t really get much of cricket. Would that effect his form this IPL?
5. Ashish Nehra
Who is 38 and still firing the ball in? This guy is. One of the most talented quickies India has produced said he is pretty excited to play for Hyderabad this season. It has been a few months since he played international cricket, but he has been a regular in the domestic circuit. Hyderabad will be hoping he could give them a couple of early breakthroughs.
