Indian Premier League has entertained us for the past one month and with the grand final today it will be curtains to this mega event that made fans stick to the TV screens. Most of the matches this season were intense thrillers and it has been a great start for the second decade.
Meanwhile, Eden Gardens has been named as the best venue for this edition of IPL. Sourav Ganguly, the president of Cricket Association of Bengal shared this news on his Twitter handle and thanked the officials.
CAB GETS IPL HONOURS
The CAB is happy to inform that Eden Gardens has once again been awarded the best venue and ground of IPL 2018.
The CAB takes this opportunity to thank all who have contributed to this success beginning with the ground staff, @bcci@icc

Ganguly also expressed his gratitude to the groundsmen who played their part in clinching this award. This season Eden Gardens hosted nine matches (7 Kolkata Knight Riders home matches and two playoffs). The crowd extended their support to the players by turning out in huge numbers in every match.
It is to be noted that Eden has a ritual similar to Lord”s where a recognized player is allowed to ring the bell prior to the game. This season Warne, Rahane, Kane Williamson and several other players rung the bell and this gesture is really a pleasing one for the Indian fans.
