IPL 2018: Twitter applauds Abhishek Sharma on his blitz

Delhi Daredevils are now officially knocked out of this edition of the Indian Premier League as they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore yesterday. AB de Villiers played a vital role in scripting a win by keeping their playoff hopes alive.

Meanwhile, the Delhi camp once again proved to be a “warehouse” for raw Indian young talents. Abhishek Sharma, the 17-year old youngster made his debut and smashed Bangalore bowlers to corners of the stadium.

Abhishek is the second player from the 21st century to represent a team in the cash-rich league next to Mujeeb Zadran. Abhishek played a role of an all-rounder in the Under 19 World Cup. A left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox bowler, he played a vital role against Bangladesh in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Yesterday, he scored a quickfire 46 off just 19 deliveries that included three boundaries and four huge sixes. Even Tim Southee was taken to cleaners by him and the bowlers really felt hard to restrict his brutal force.

Twitter erupted after this knock and appreciated him for showing his potential on a big stage in  his debut match:
