After his whirlwind knock yesterday, which made the undefeated SRH run for cover, the universe boss is now bossing the social media platforms.
Gayle in his post-match interview said that “Virender Sehwag saved the league” by picking him at the IPL auction (after he went unsold in the earlier rounds) while receiving the man-of-the-match award for his awe-inspiring ton which helped Kings XI Punjab remain victorious at Mohali.

Gayle had been released by Royal Challengers Bangalore and was not retained by the franchise in the January”s IPL player auction. Other teams too showed no interest in picking the veteran who had a poor IPL from last two years.
As a consequence, the universe boss was unsold in the first two attempts and only late in the second day of the auction KXIP made a bid for him and got the Left-hander for his base price of Rs 2 crore.
Gayle who was not picked for the initial to games, but made a roaring comeback in last two matches, said “I”m always determined. I always give it my all for whatever franchise I represent. I”m a 100 percent. Like I said, it”s a new franchise. A lot of people might say that Chris has a lot to prove – he didn”t get selected or wasn”t picked early in the auction. I think Virender Sehwag has saved T20 League by picking me. This is a brilliant start,”

After this hilarious and witty remark, Viru who himself is known for humour tweeted exactly this:

To which Gayle replied in agreement,

Sehwag also took to Twitter and taunted the RCB who let the big man go unsold in the auction.

The big Jamaican dasher was quick to pounce on his critics after the knock while dedicating the special hundred to his daughter.
“A lot of people thought I”m too old, after this innings, I have nothing to prove. This hundred is dedicated to my daughter. Tomorrow (Friday) is her birthday,” Gayle said during the mid-innings break.
This was Chris Gayle”s 21st t20 hundred, a record unparalleled by anyone else. Now that he has come back to form, KXIP will be hoping that he continues this devastating batting in the upcoming games as well.
