The Kings XI Punjab has had a difficult start to IPL 2020. The KL Rahul led side has so far only won a single match out of 4. One reason for their defeat has been the poor form of their premier all-rounder. Jimmy Neesham has been below par with both bat and ball. Recently after his disappointing performance against Mumbai Indians, he was probed by popular commentator Aakash Chopra.
The former India cricketer scrutinised Neesham’s performance and stated that he is not a match-winner. Chopra was baffled by to Neesham in the KXIP even after so many average performances. He went on to add that Neesham is neither a great finisher and not a great batsman.
Meanwhile, after Chopra analysis, the Kings XI Punjab all-rounder openly made fun of Chopra’s poor shortest format record as soon as he saw his statements. Aakash Chopra in his T20 career played 21 matches in which he was able to score just 334 runs at a strike rate of mere 91.5 and average of 18.55.
I Get Paid For Something Else- Aakash Chopra
As soon as Chopra saw Neesham’s tweet he immediately responded and reminded him that he is getting paid for something else now. Chopra is now a well-renowned sports broadcaster and who speaks his heart out about the game.
“Correct my friend. That’s why nobody picks me anymore. I get paid for doing something else. I’m glad that you don’t have an issue with my observations but with my cricket stats. Go well for the rest of the #IPL”, Aakash Chopra tweeted.

Jimmy Neesham has always been very humourous on social media. He often interacts with his followers and is known to have a good sense of humour. However, his tweet against Chopra was uncalled for as he is just doing the job and speaking the game as he sees it.
Furthermore, Chopra may have not have had a fruitful T20 record but he was a giant in domestic cricket. Chopra had a stellar first-class career as he scored over 8,000 runs and also won 3 Ranji Trophy titles, 2 with Rajasthan and 1 with Delhi respectively.
