IPL 2020: Aakash Chopra Lashes Out At Troll Insulting Young Yashasvi Jaiswal

After failing in his first two games in the IPL, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 34 off 36 balls against Delhi Capitals as Rajasthan Royals lost the game by 46 runs at the chasing 185 to win. Jaiswal was guilty of eating up too many balls for his innings and failing to force the pressure early on in the chase. At the end, his slow innings was criticised by fans on Twitter. Meanwhile, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra came to the rescue of the young man as he took his side and lashed out at the troll.

It was the fourth straight loss for the Royals in this PL as their campaign has derailed badly after having a rollicking start. Meanwhile, a post on Twitter has gone viral after the young Jaiswal played slow innings. The senior players around him also failed to score big as the Royals lost yet another encounter.

The Twitter handle named ‘tuk tuk academy’ posted a photoshopped image of Jaiswal alongside MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav for his slow innings against DC. meanwhile, Dhoni and Jadhav also have been hugely criticised for failing to win the game for their side against KKR. The post was deleted from Twitter later as well as the page.

Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra lashed out at the Twitter handle saying “Have a heart. That’s all I’ll tell you. Leave the kid along please. I am sure that senior players can take a joke but it’s unfair to expect same maturity from a 19yo” as he came in support of the youngster.

 Delhi Capitals after another thumping win are back at the top of the points table. They have won five out of their six games anre topping the table with 10 points. They are becoming a stronger unit with every passing game and looking like the team to beat this season.

Meanwhile, Jaiswal was the Player of the Tournament at the 2020 U19 World Cup, in which he scored 400 runs at an average of 133, including four fifties and a century against Pakistan in the semifinal. The story of his journey to becoming a cricketer has inspired many to take up the sport as a profession.
